Life in Canada and the US by DerSarek 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Here I am again with my questions about life in Canada. This began Thursday and ran again Friday

First I'd like to thank all those that answered and provided very interesting and helpful info. Thanks Celticess, Illiad, Peace-man and everybody!

And thanks for the discussion, too. That was very interesting also.

I have a rather practical question left. In Europe it is rather common to have freelance consultants in IT that go and work for a while in larger corporations. There are companies like Hays that specialize in making contracts between Companies and those consultants (like me) happen. Is there a market for that in mainland North America? Or is it mainly a get-hired market?
Also what percentage of my income can I expect to pay in taxes?

Thanks again for some very live and foremost real-life info!
