about which I watched a documentary. But you are right, there are pedophiles where treatment does not work. Just like there are psychopathic killers where treatment doesn't work. And it can be that some (pedophiles and psychopathic killers) are born that way. I read that e.g. a lack of oxygen during birth (and I guess probably other things like drug use of the mother) can lead to aggression / violence of the child in later life, and they are more likely to get in conflict with the law, involving anything from arson to violent crime. Maybe this is also linked to some cases of pedophilia (though I have not heard of research saying so - it is just a guess).
