something done, they went ahead and did it. No yadda-yadda about peace, love & democracy. No running around trying to get others to do (part of) the dirty work. No bawling to the rest of the world for assistance when things turned sour. BTW I think the US is FAR superior in terms of Big Guns, but economically, the EU and possibly China are too powerful to ignore.
