| A charismatic and accomplished actor indeed, and he suited the role of a Jedi Master past his prime but still potent. Of course it helps that a lot of women (and gay men of course) love him.
I was mildly narked at the scene where Darth Maul clouts Qui-Gonn in the face and stuns him, then finishes him off. It seemed weak, slow and contrived. It should've been a dramatic, vicious, fast killing blow; a flurry of lightsabre clashes and a sudden close-up shot of Qui-Gonn's face in shock and pain, and then his collapse.
So much of Ep.I was so poorly directed I'm amazed it ever left the editing room. |
