| You know, everybody makes mistakes. Everybody. I just wish people would fess up to them. I cannot stand unethical business. I can almost guarantee I will lose my temper tomorrow. These guys have a bone to pick with us too. They were fired off another job (seeing a pattern?) and we came in took over, fixing all their mistakes, etc. Somewhere to the tune of nearly $2 million dollars. For the same customer, so if they can take the opportunity to make us look bad, they're going to. Unfortunately, in this case, it really isn't my engineers fault though we did get off to a rocky start on this whole thing. We fired the first engineer who was involved in it, and brought the guy handling it now in during the middle of the project. So... we're easy to point a finger at in this case. Our one guy just doesn't have the authority to say "No, we absolutely will not pay for that. They screwed it up, not us." I'm honestly not sure if I do either, though I'm acting on the assumption that I do. Better to ask forgiveness than permission sometimes. =) |
