Most likely it has a dedicated power connector, like a HDD or a CDROM drive, to get it the necessary current it needs; if it's not connected, something like that may happen...
As far as troubleshooting, start with just the core components, processor/mainboard/memory/video card only, take the PCI drive controller out - totally disconnect all the drives, both from the power supply and the data cables from the mainboard, and see if it will try and boot then - if so, add the drive controller and one HDD to the system and see if it will access it, and work your way up from there. |
