I'm always happy to see anyone in the U.S. by hadji 2005-02-27 16:10:34
respect animated films as more than just being for children's features. It wasn't bad for an early attempt in that aspect. However, I'm spoiled, I guess, but the quality of animated films I've seen that have come from other countries. Notably, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Princess Mononoke, Metropolis (Rintaro, not Fritz Lang), Triplets of Belleville, and I'm sure a few others which are not currently coming to mind.

The U.S. has a bit of maturing to do in this aspect of film making, but no one is taking the time to do it.
