File system recommendation needed! by Winsmith 2005-02-27 13:09:48
I want to set up my system in a way that allows me to access stuff from Windows as well as from Linux, so after allocating partitions for both OSes, I left 60 gigs of free space on the drive that should be accessible to both. However, it turns out that the only file system of which I know that both OSes can access without complications -- FAT32 -- doesn't support partitions as big as that.

Are there means of making Linux speak a decent NTFS, or of making Windows speak a decent, say, ext3?
Or is there any other filesystem type that might be usable?

132GB is the theoretical limit for FAT32, IIRC. by themadkansan2005-02-27 13:45:15
