It's an option somewhere in a Mandrake menu	by Hoth	2005-02-27 12:18:09
Unfortunately I don't have Mandrake anymore (Fedora) and don't remember exactly which, but there was some menu option that had something to do with 'users' that has a list of user accounts and shows that particular ones are hidden. From there you can unselect the hiding of the root account, and that way it'll appear as a login option next time. (Sorry I can't be more specific.)
