The functionality to convert FAT32 to NTFS is built in to the operating system. I don't believe that it works the other way though.

The reason I ahve not had to reformat this drive in a long time is not mere luck. It's got more to do with stubbornness than anything else. If there is a problem I *will* get to the root of it and I will fix it. Formatting is the easy way out.
