| Now *that's* a funny spam! |

From: Frederick's of Hollywood
Subject line says they're offering a $500 *Victoria's Secret* gift card in exchange for participation in a survey.
I wonder whether Victoria's Secret would honor a $500 gift card issued by Frederick's of Hollywood.
The interior of the spam, however, is more believable (with the exception of the $500 amount, apparently it's a lingerie survey and they're offering your choice of Frederick's or Victoria's gift cards), until you get down to the very bottom of the email:
$content shebu cotobunotho ojxjllj nexaboludagipo zbipp1dpn ngobojofebuvem janandugepenget wiveme cozopupusigeco vashugogast vorudacu ndovejodotenga
They may have tricked me with their ProductOpinionPanel survey thing had they not done that spammer trick in attempts to get past spam filters (which didn't work... I found this while sorting through my junk mail to find stuff accidentally caught)
Silly spammers. When you *do* come up with an even slightly believable one, you shouldn't destroy it for yourself like that! |
