And I do mean as good as all cases. But not, perhaps, in 1 or 2 cases out of some exceedingly great number. And in those cases, the only reason that the 'don't tell' would be applied, is out of fear for society's response.
I, personally, am of the opinion that in this case we should opt for 'the greatest good for the greatest number', and prevent those few 'good' cases from happening in order to prevent many more bad cases from occuring. I was merely raising the question whether if, in those good cases, those involved (who will want to be together), should just forget about it, or try to gain acceptance for their case. I am talking about what those involved should do, not about how society should respond to it.
Of course, in all those wrong cases, what you say holds unreservedly, and such cases should be prevented from happening. |
