pedophilia by dennismv2005-02-27 01:33:21
The difference between homosexuality and by hadji2005-02-27 01:46:44
court system by dennismv 2005-02-27 02:05:50
somewhere I heard that in the cases where children were abused by the father, they were asked if they wanted their father in jail, or not (which meant abuse will continue). Most wanted to keep their father (which probably had little effect in what the court system did anyway).

Yes, sweeping the problem under the rug would be bad. However, on the other side going overboard is also bad. There are some cases where the punishment doesn't fit the crime. i.e. if the crime was little, i.e. a sexual act between 19 and 16 year olds or the like, for which the perpetrator pays a big chunk of their life (or more), while the victim gets over the minor hurt in a year or less, if at all. I don't see this as fair.
