might need quite a few splitters, but one 450W or 500W power supply should be more than enough.

Hell, the 300W power supply in my linux box runs 5 HD's, 2 optical, a tape drive, and a athlon 750 without any problems (granted the athlon 750 uses like squat for power compared to the modern procs)
