Are you hard-jumpering the optical drives and the HDD as master/slave, or are you trying to use Cable Select?

Also, I concur with the earlier expressed opinion of getting a heavier power supply ASAP - most new hardware is in need of much more current than what previously has been considered adequate - for that many optical drives, along with the new processor/mainboard/memory/video card, I'd not use any less than a 350W PS at minimum, and recommend at least a 400W PS or better, of a reputable brand, of course.
