A kidney stone is indeed partly caused by not flushing your detox system with enough water, and your kidneys are the core of that system. Kidney stones are very small, but under a microscope they look like huge, horrifically jagged boulders. The tissue inside your kidneys is made up of layers of thin filter membrane, and are very soft and sensitive, a bit like thin, wet tissue paper. Tumble something that behaves like razorwire on flesh inside your kidneys and the resulting paid is indescribable.
I have been told that kidney stones cause the only pain that can be said to be the equal of childbirth. Makes me rather cherish my Y chromosome even more than I already do.
