I think you get on the BC housing list. You just have to fill out an application and turn it in. Then your on the list for housing subsidies. Now what that means is you can get into BC Housing funded places or may qualify once all the things have been ironed out for the individual funding. For the BC Housing funded units btw they do have one bedroom ones. You pay only 30% of your gross yearly income up to full unit market value... so you earn less rent goes down and if you earn more it goes up but only to a point. Off of the bchousing.org site is also listings of other funding. So likely when the bugs are ironed out of it all it will have direct applications there. If you call bc housing or write and ask them though they may tell you whats happening so far with things.
