One pet peeve of mine about these "prohibition" type laws is that it doesn't teach kids to drink in moderation/drink responsibly. The best teaching is by example, and you are removing the lesson by example that "if you have more than a drink or two, someone else drives." It removes any concept of learning what your limits are, and ultimately leading to even MORE irresponsible behavior.
