"Peace Officer" sounds suspiciously euphemistic by Schol-R-LEA;22005-02-14 12:15:23
              It isn't a euphemism at all. by Illiad2005-02-14 12:17:11
Perhaps if I beleived in the possibility of peace by Schol-R-LEA;2 2005-02-14 12:32:02
I'd believe in peace officers. But then, I don't believe in the possibility of Law Enforcement, not that any form of 'protection' - self- or institutional - is anything more than security blanket to hide under. There Is No Friend Anywhere.

As for 'gun control', I don't discuss artificial, intentionally unresolvable isues which exist solely for the purpose of giving the Politicians a way of measuring the effectivness of their propaganda.

As for me, I know myself better than to ever trust myself with a gun. Besides, I'm under a Ban against handling firearms; apparently, if I ever handle one, I will be killed with it within 24 hours. I have no idea why, the gods are just inscrutable that way. Do You Believe That?TM
