A good cup of homebrewed coffee by DaNutBall2005-02-14 10:46:23

Jamaica Blue Mountain is the best way to accomplish this. Buy whole bean, store it in the freezer to keep it fresh and grind it yourself (don't over grind, this WILL lead to bitterness). You can pick up a grinder for as little as $15 - $20. Compare the ground size to coffe that's already been pre-ground. Make a whole pot so the flavor evens out appropriately. The cheapest place I've found to buy a good JMB bean is http://www.coffeespecialties.com/coffee2.html. It runs $35.00/lb and they usually have free shipping on their JMB and Kona. And yes that's cheap. JMB usually runs about $50.00/lb.
