but the files on the drive still don't show up on doing so. Oddly they did for about 2 seconds before vanishing, and haven't again since on any of various /dev/sda and /dev/sdb tries in fstab. less /proc/scsi/scsi yields Attached devices: Host: scsi99 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: Model: USB DISK 20X Rev: PMAP Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 fstab line is /dev/sda4/mnt/usbdrivevfatnoauto,user 0 0
