Perl's configure script is mad: by LionsPhil2005-02-14 03:40:09

Been thare, done that, where SCO csh is concerned by HadEnuf 2005-02-14 08:03:12
That's one of the reasons I won't write 'csh' scripts for anything
that might *ever* be distributed *anywhere*--I don't want to have
to pick up the pieces when someone runs it in a brain-dead 'csh'.

Of course, I still write scripts so they'll run correctly in the
*original* Bourne shell <CowardlyLion Song="If I Were King of the
Forest">(not ksh, not posix, not bash)</CowardlyLion>!

(I even subvert the shell to do *parsing*, rather than assume a
well-behaved 'grep', 'awk' or 'sed', in some cases. Yes, I *am*
a Paranoid Bastard.)
