You could always try non drowsy allergy pills. Sounds like your getting a similar histamine reaction to what I do when in contact with cold. Only I can also swell up with it. But I get hives, rashes, and eczema as well as my skin color might change in affected spots. Zink cream might give you a little relief but you'd likely have to get John to apply it. Calimine is great til it dries then it doesn't do much. I'd say if it doesn't get better in a day or two go see the doc right away. Sounds more than a simple reaction. You may well have some sort of allergy mixed in there.
