Bureaucratical manipulations by bastetsmuse 2005-02-11 19:34:14
I get an email from ... well, let's just say the "Vice President" of the company this afternoon, asking to meet with me on Monday.

I gulp, but shoot back an email ... "You do realize I'm going to worry all weekend?!"

He writes back: "Not to worry... blah blah ... you're a valuable employee and I just want to talk over a few things with you regarding reducing/removing the 'older culture' that is here in the company...."

My BOSS didn't get copied on the email. YES, I told her about it because the meeting's going to happen while she is out of town and I wasn't asked to keep quiet.

My boss is constantly whinging about the lack of any 'chain-of-command' decency AND those higher than she have already tried to add to my duties (and pay me more, but she DIDN'T tell me about THAT).

Does this smell bad to you?
