Your friend has a history of overdosing on medication that she shouldn't take in the first place. She finds a box o' pills, tells you she might take them all, then you can't get in touch with her anymore. Who were you supposed to call? Your dentist? Based on what you've said of her history, there was a very real possibility that she had done what she said she would do. So what if she HAD taken the pills? Then it WOULD have been an emergency, and the call would be justified. But how were you to know, either way?
