| I had a friend many years ago and he called me, exremely depressed and upset about something (I didn't know what it was at the time). He only told me that he wasn't going to go to work the next day (he also lived quite far from me). I told him I'll call him and wake him in the morning and get him to go to work. He *yelled* at me (the first time he'd done so) not to do it. So I agreed. I didn't hear from him for a week or so, and that started getting weird, since we usually speak at least every fortnight - so I dug up his phone number (this was the days before caller ID) and called his mom's house by "mistake".
His mom answered the phone and haltingly told me that my friend had shot himself that morning when he made me promise not to call him. :(
So call 911 now. If it's a false alarm, your friend will learn not to play these "games" with you, and if it's NOT a false alarm, you just may be saving her life.
*hugs* |
