I just have them. Im not sure why dad has them. I know they came from great grand father. How he got them I can guess but I couldnt be sure. My guess is back when he was on base supervising POWs makeing boots for the US they probably walked off base with him. How he got them past his own security detail I wont hazard guesses. (Durring WW2 he and my grandmother were very carefully watched as were all Italians and Germans.) They came very close to rounding up the Italian immagrants and the German immagrants in ww2 as it was he was watched rather closely and was tapped as a resourse to make boots on the local base for the allied war effort. He supervised something like 200 German POWs.
