Well you know in animal kingdom if they have mating and partnership drive. Gay or straight they will look for companionship. Apprently there weren't enough females to go around. So the penguins could be gay, bi, or asexual. Nobody knows for sure really except the birds. If more females are added and they are indifferent to them then obviously they are gay or bi and happy in their penguin relationships/pairs and don't want hassled. shrug I don't think they can force a gay creature to be straight anymore than a straight to be gay if that is what they truely are. If I were working that zoo I'd be curious too if it was companion instincts or if they were truely gay. shrug If they are truely gay why not give the gay couples donated chick eggs they can hatch and then leave them be in their pair/family? I think that's been done before too.
