little out of the price range you want. I've had good luck with the FRS radios that we have. FRS probably won't give you the range you want. The Canadain government has recently changed the rules in regards to GMRS radio frequencies. Due to this I'm looking at getting a pair of Garmin Rinos. If you go with FRS style radios try to stay away from the rechargable batteries. The rechargable batteris put out less power that standard AA batteries. This will translate to shorter range on the radios. I'll have to look into some radios with the range your looking for and get back to you.
