I have to run the steel over it regularly because my housemates: a) Don't know how to cut with a knife, despite repeated demonstrations. b) Insist on forcing it vertically down through stuff instead of slicing (see a). c) Insist on using the glass chopping board. I will get myself a small set of decent knives, but not before I have my own place.
