I trained as a rep for Cutco knives here in Canada a few months back. We got to test their stuff side-by-side with Henckels and Laser knives that were straight out of the wrapping, and the differences were noticeable. The blades cut more smoothly (everything from leather to carrots to tomatoes to cheese), and the warranty stuff was excellent.
However, I bailed on them for a couple of reasons... one was that I had commitments like school that I had told them about prior to signing on (and they ignored those things, repeatedly scheduling me for meetings at locations 45 minutes by transit away from me), and they used / promoted sexist selling techniques even though they admitted they knew it was sexist in the first place.
So basically, I loved the knives, but disliked their sales tactics. |
