When I lived in van, my telus interent service was out for 3 fricking days straight, and all they could tel me was "They are looking into the problem" when I bitched about no ETA, and being out for over a day, they suggested I use the emergency dial up acocunt... which has 5 hours... uh yeah that would be used up in a single day... if I still owned a modem. Out here at work, it goes out atleast once a month, and for the first 3 or 4 hours, telus will always blame the consumer.
