I can sympathize. Had one stuck in October. Bill ran around $10,000 or so. Luckily insurance picked up almost all of it. With mine, the doctor doesn't have any problem with me drinking anything except Coke (and other soft drinks with phosforic acid) and lemonde. Cafene isn't the issue. But mine are the not so common uric acid type. Good luck.
