One thing that I ran across when I set up my LinkSys router: Make sure you set the MTU size to be less than 1500 (I think they recommend 1492), and don't let it pick the MTU size automatically. This is mentioned in the docs but not terribly clearly, and without it, I couldn't reliably use the wireless network. The Linksys site didn't help much, but thanks to some web searching, I didn't go so far as to return it and get another one (which would have failed the same way :-) )
