They compared the number of patches for win2k3 server vs SuSE and RedHat.

How fair of a comparison is that? Were the 'nix distro patches just kernel patches? Just server process patches? Patches for the OS and all applications in the distro?

Should we compare the number of patches for Windows XP/2k3, IE, OE, the whole Office suite, IIS, and every other application MS puts out? Cause that's probably still not the number of software packages on $distro's set of default install CDs/DVD.
