Thieves quite often return to places where they successfully stole a lot of big-ticket items. They wait awhile to make sure the insurance has replaced everything and then come back for seconds. Or thirds. It's easier, because by the time a "clever" thief has raided a place, they know the person's schedule well enough to know when they're there and when they're gone. And after they've been inside, they know where the victim keeps all the good stuff. This case sounds like a smash-and-grab, so these thieves probably aren't pro's and if they return, they'll probably mess it up the next time and get themselves caught.
