If some tells you I'm better at, say math, does that in any way demean you as a (whole) person? I don't think so, I think there are differences in culture and social structure that are as said purely statistical fact. Making a compliment on the qualities involved does not demean another group and will hopefully just be food for thought. I think it encourages interest and will if positively stimulated make people embrace those positive part if culture making the world a beeter place. Just my two cents
