For one thing, it suggests a tendency towards an attribute. Just because Afro-Americans have a tendency towards more hypertension, does not mean that Afro-Americans have hypertension. Adiplomat: Just because, in general Asian people have a lower alcohol tolerance does not mean that the Japanese man standing in front of you has a low alcohol tolerance. For that matter, define alcohol tolerance; is it before you show 'visible signs of being drunk' or is it when you die from alcohol poisoning? Prejudice is when you pre-judge people on statistics. If you ask people whether or not Asians are short, you're likely to get 'yes' for an answer. But look at this guy: Yao Ming
