we have a software called freedom it's an anti virus, we also have a PPPoE connection manager software customer can no longer connect, gives an adapter error we check device manager and for every adapter in there there is a "child" adapter with freedom miniport at the end of the name we uninstalled freedom to no avail adapter giver error code 31, something about the driver not working only thing I can tink of is reinstall freedom, try to clear the adapter and uninstall it again ( they don;t want it anymore )
