But then, having been diabetic for about 20 years, I don't generally drink non-diet soda, so maybe I'm just "used" to it? That's anecdotal evidence, too, so it's worth approximately zero. But still. (What I wonder about are the four people that are both diabetic and have phenylketoneuria. What can they drink? Probably nothing at all that's carbonated, since all non-diet soda is full of sugar, and all diet soda is full of phenylalanine...)
