Attn firearms geeks and history buffs

I'm watching Deadwood on HBO OnDemand and went looking on wikipedia at winchester rifles (remembering the 1894 replica Daisy BB gun I had as a kid).

As stated at the top of the page, it's a mess. I lack knowlege on the topic, but plenty of the people here know a thing or two about such things.

Anyone up for it? (or, optionally, supplying more information here in whatever form and I'll try my own hand at wikipedia editing)
