Like DR66, I had been a little worried about how the "real world" was going to be for you-- when I was in college, I saw an awful lot of freshmen get drunk on the sudden freedom and do many stupid things, just because they could. And I am right now sitting very close to someone who fell apart and about self-destructed shortly *after* getting *out* of a nasty home situation. (The damage doesn't necessarily go away just because it's no longer being added to.)
From what I can see from here, you've done an incredible job of holding it together, being responsible, keeping your academics in order, *and* being true to yourself. Wow. You have my earnest admiration, and I am so happy for your happiness and healing. And if there are more rough patches still ahead, you know there are many UFies who will do anything they can to help you out.
