Absolutely nothing, it's what I support. by Ravenlock 2005-02-08 14:38:54
I didn't say anything different. Which part do you "wholeheartedly disagree" with?

We don't, as a society, teach kids to treat sexuality with sanctity and respect. We just try to teach them not to treat it at all. We bury our heads in the sand, and theirs, as far as we can manage it.

Now, obviously parents can (and should) turn the tide of this problem at home. My parents did a fairly good job of it, as, thankfully, did those of my fiancee.

But any society in which a sex-ed program loses its federal funding if it promotes any safe sex other than abstinance (which is shown not to prevent anything except education), and where such gross idiocy is ignored in favor of preventing gay couples from getting tax breaks or visiting each other in the hospital... well, perhaps we should get our heads out of our a3es before telling other people what to do with theirs. Ahem.
