Edmonton March Break the Bank fest by hieraco 2005-02-08 12:40:47
The Unofficial and Unauthorized Edmonton UFie GT thread

O.K. we're not going to break the bank on this function, but we will have a great opertunity to get together and geekspeek over some drinks and food.

We will be looking into a March function so check your calanders. I would be most available the week of March 14-17.

The gathering will be IRL so leave your modems at home.

Currently we have one suggestion for meeting on Whyte Ave. Boston Pizza has been proposed as well as The Old Spaghetti Factory down town. Both are easy to get to by public transit. I would like to avoid Whyte Ave on Friday and Saturday nights as it is difficult to find seating for groups in most clubs/bars/resturants.

If you are intrested in attending and are in the area you can contact the Organizers (kyrasantae and I) at my Spam-mail address [ spamlist at Shaw dot Ca ] To ensure We get the mail, list the subject as Edmonton UFIE GT Include in the mail the following information;
- Your E-mail - (to keep you informed of progress, no other mail will be sent)
- Dates you are available
- Dates you are not available
- Suggestions of locations
- theme suggestion or other information

For location try and keep it a central location so everyone can attend. (yeah I know, I have some great places way up in the North and out in the West end as well) I think that Whyte Ave or Downtown (Jasper) would be best. with the local transit system. Also a place where the background music is not too loud would be nice for us old folks who are hard of hearing. ;-)

So folks lets make this thing happen!

Hieraco

So far we've got about 6 locals and 2 Travelers intrested. Can we break the dozen point?
