ARRRGGHH!!! by foredeck2005-02-08 06:20:00
things to look at (from a home brewer) by unjust 2005-02-08 11:02:06
bottle conditioned: has yeasties in it that carbonate it in the bottle

kind of hops, and method used: LOTS of variets of hops. many ways to hop beer, and many different ammounts of hops.

filtration/ method of: some beers are filtered to improve clarity or remove off flavours.

other additives: various grains and other aromatics and flavors. LOTS of em. from cherries to lemon peel to anise to molasses.

sulfates: i'd be surprised, most commercial beers don't use em, but some do, and some homebrewers do. much more common in wine.

i'll see what i can find out about 1664 for oddball ingredients and get back to you.
