Resorting to corporeal punishment is a sign of weakness. I'm disgusted that it isn't outlawed in our country yet; but at least it's no longer allowed in schools, which seems to me to be the bare minimum.

About the prayer gatherings -- yes, they /are/ taking it too far. Christians have just as many rights as other groups.

I still find it rather tendentious that the ACLU is mentioned in the story.
