Seeing as how this appears to be the thread of unrelated follow-ups... I read most of The Salmon of Doubt yesterday (haven't read the unfinished novel... not sure if I will or not). I remember when this book first came out how so many people went flippy about how it was a terrible thing to pilfer DA's Mac to come up with a half-arsed attempt at a book simply to make more money. All I can say to that is "pffffttttthhhtt!". I never had the privelege of meeting DA or attending his talks. This book compiles interviews, speeches, ramblings, etc., and is simply great. It's a fitting tribute to the guy.
