Read it, thought about it. Very happy for you. by toxin 2005-02-08 08:49:18
1) Cutting is a sign of psychological disturbance. The association between cutting and the proximity of your parents is a clue. I think you will be forced to live your own life. And that is not necessarily a bad thing.

2) If Canada is attractive, get a medical related skill, if possible. There are LOTS of jobs for people with medical skills. Suggestions could include medical technology maintenance (bio-medical electronics) and specialized medical information systems. The future for jobs is in medicine. That applies to many countries you might choose to go to.

3) I would love to have you in Canada. If you were in Vancouver in May... well, so it goes.

4) Walk on the English moors. Yorkshire Dales. Places like that. See some of the non-city places. Go to Scotland. If you have a chance, go to the first and ultimate Fringe Festival (theatre) in Edinborough. Totally cutting edge, off the wall stuff. Right up your non-traditional alley.

5) When it is time to go back to the US, look at it as a temporary visit.

Be HAPPY, don't worry!
