Predicament... need help. by aceofhertz 2005-02-08 05:23:03
Here's my predicament.

We've recently installed a packet shaper into our internet here at a student residence and it's kinda caused an outcry because people can't download music like they have always been able to.

What I want to do is set up a server that would allow them to make requests for stuff, so I could download it at quick speeds and then upload it to the server. Problem is, I don't have a spare 200 gig harddrive around, so I need to set up some kind of port forwarding, so that they talk to a computer that has only barebones, and in turn, the barebones pc sends the commands to my own PC (280 gigs of space).

Maybe this is impossible, anyone know of any better ways or any way to make this work?
