It leaves you with the problem (generally) of having a printhead that is impossible to change, unless you are an epson authorised repair agent, and very expensive to change. Only Epson agents can change their printheads as they need to be realigned with a software package that is different for every epson printer and Epson are very careful about who gets the realignment programs. The R300 IIRC is indeed one of these printers
